Over the years, many people have called or even written in to tell us what they thought of our products and services. Most notes have been gratifying in their praise. A few have had complaints that we promptly fixed. We appreciate them all - we can’t improve ourselves without knowing what you think.
We have hundreds of the original letters in our store: the good, the bad, and the ugly. You can read them all, if you wish. To protect the privacy of our customers, we have deleted some of their personal information here. The “People Are Talking” books in the store will give you a bit more information. If you want even more, we will contact the actual customer for their permission to talk to you directly. Here are just a few examples:

years you have worked with me in a truly unbelievable way and bent
over backwards to make things as painless as possible for your customers.
I can’t tell you how impressed I am with the way you handle your
customer service. I consider Jordan’s as the leader in customer
service and they could take lessons from Seasonal. The horror stories
I hear about other pool stores makes me wonder, don’t people know
about Seasonal, why would anyone go anywhere else? This is one person
who would not even consider it regardless what they claim to offer.

Dear Dennis and Jeanne,
The purchase of the pool table for a Christmas present for my husband and 17 year old son was the perfect addition to our finished basement. Father and son play together, but it is really nice to have a 17 year old who stays home and has friends over. It makes our home more inviting for teenagers, (and we like to know where they are!). Dear Dennis and Jeanne,
I received today your comment card. I was surprised and pleased as I have on several occasions begun drafting a letter of comment.
As I sat down to fill in the card, it became quite clear that it wasn’t big enough. I have shopped the store since the mid eighties, purchasing all my dart and billiard supplies. Recently when I was raving about the store to my family, my mother informed me that she bought patio furniture there years ago, and my sister buys all her pool and hot tub supplies there as well. So it isn’t an isolated incident!
I purchased a hot tub there in 1999.Patrick made the sale, he was very personable and had knowledge of the product and at no time chased the sale. He and Joe delivered it without incident despite cold and snow. After about two and a half years I had a problem with the pump/motor which was under warranty. Joe couldn’t have been more pleasant, quick to respond and explained what had happened in a way that was matter of fact and understandable. I was enjoying the tub again in no time at all.
This past summer the pump/motor quit again. I stopped in to see Patrick, I was a little overwhelmed to have a problem again, and my demeanor was apparent. He impressed me with his cool, calm manner and had Joe come out to help me. Again, the pleasant calm manner in which each of them helped me had me laughing by the time I left. Joe fixed the problem and followed up with calls to make sure everything was running properly.
When I was in the market for a pool table, I didn’t have to think twice where to go! Again, I went right to Joe and Patrick because they have never disappointed me! I purchased the table, a nice heavy cover for good measure and bought a new set of darts on my way out!
In this fast paced, get ‘em in get ‘em out climate of retail and lack of customer service, I have to applaud Seasonal. Whatever you are doing to keep these standards it is working. When customers are as pleased and respected as I have felt, it is a WIN WIN situation. I appreciate every little kindness, it goes a long, long way. I even decided to pay for the postage myself by writing this letter (smile).

Dear Dennis,
I just wanted to let you know how our first season with our new pool went.
We originally shopped at another pool store before purchasing our pool at Seasonal Specialty last spring. At the other store we encountered pushy salespeople who would not give us brochures and price lists on their entire pool line. Every time we went back to their store, the price changed. We overheard one salesman telling his customer that they didn’t want a particular pool because it was not good quality, yet our salesman was telling us that the very same pool was the best quality they had. It was very confusing and we felt like we were at a car lot, being pressured into buying a new car.
At your store the difference was like night and day. Your salespeople were extremely courteous and knowledgeable. We were given a beautiful color brochure that contained all the pools you sold and their prices. Everything was there in black and white. There were no hidden charges. We knew up front how much it would cost us to get into the pool we wanted.
We are so happy we listened to your advice and chose Baquacil as our chemical treatment. Our pool water was crystal clear all season long. Our neighbors commented on how sparkling clean our pool was compared to others. And it was so easy to use! Initially, I had a hard time talking my husband into the purchase of a pool because he thought it would be too much work. At the end of the summer, his comment was, “This was the best investment we ever made!”
Your installer had our pool up in just a few hours, even though he got caught in the middle of a rainstorm. He was professional and thorough. Your salespeople have gone out of their way each and every time I had a question or concern. I have recommended Seasonal Specialty to every person who has complimented us on our beautiful pool, and believe me, there have been many, many compliments!

Wow!!! What a wonderful surprise. I’m sooo glad I attended the OPEN HOUSE. It was such fun - friendly staff, interesting tours, yummy food. You sure do things up right, Dennis. The pool table that we purchased has been great. The whole family enjoys gathering around the pool table and spending quality time playing pool. My five year old daughter is quite the “Pool Shark”. I have yet to beat her, except for when she let’s me win. This was definitely a good purchase which the whole family and friends enjoy.

I can’t tell you enough how wonderful your store and employees are. Everyone is very willing and happy to help me (even with the stupid stuff). I use all Baquacil products and love them. When I have a question, I can just call your store and get a truthful answer.
In the beginning when I was looking for a pool, I was stupid and went to another store, figuring I would get excellent customer service, knowledge, etc. We did purchase a pool and whole set from them. BIG MISTAKE! Long story shortened, after months of headaches, phone calls and run arounds, we told them to come get their pool and we wanted our money back. We were very sour on pools at that point and decided not to get one. Then, months later, we went into your store - just looking around and wound up buying a pool. Your sales staff was nice to work with and very accommodating (we’ve even referred people to you). We love our pool, products and help of everyone at Seasonals. Thanks for being there for us and helping us enjoy hot summer days.

Dear Seasonal Store:
Thank you for still being concerned about us and our pool. We live in a small town called West Milan, NH, about 10 miles north of Berlin. We have a swimming pool and supplies store in Berlin and also one in Gorham, NH, about 9 miles and 15 miles away. Oddly enough, last May we took a 150 mile ride to Merrimack to visit you folks and purchase a pool from Seasonals. You were referred to us by my uncle in Nashua, NH, who also bought a pool from you. We are glad that we went the extra miles to save money and find friendlier people.
I would like to give a special thanks to Chris. When I spoke with him over the phone, he did not know me, or if I was calling just for a joke. All he knew was that we were traveling 150 miles and gave him an estimated time of arrival on Saturday morning. He took the time to go to the store extra early to have all the supplies, hardware and everything else we needed ready to be loaded when we arrived. Thanks again, Chris, you saved us over one hour on our journey.
The pool was in full operation about three weeks later. We enjoyed it well and we will be returning to visit for a season’s supply of chemicals. Again, we could travel only 9 or 15 miles, but we prefer to deal with you people. The date today is April 12 and the pool is still frozen. The little bit of water we started to see froze overnight again. It was only 18 degrees this morning. I hope by the middle of June we can swim.
We are considering purchasing a pool table. When we visit you in a month or two, maybe you could give us information on them. We traveled to buy a swimming pool, we are not afraid to travel to buy a pool table.

Hi,
Although we did not buy a pool from Seasonal we use the store for all our chemical supplies and other odds and ends. We love the service we get when we have our pool water analyzed - and best of all - it’s free! We use a new type of chlorine (in a self-contained pack) and besides our pool dealer, you guys are the only ones who carry this product - and you are cheaper than our pool dealer - even after he offers us his “discount”.
We’ll be opening our in-ground pool in a few short months and will definitely be making a trip to Seasonal to get us up and running. Thanks for all your past help.

Hi there,
We are looking forward to this summer and are hoping for much better weather.
I have to tell you, neither my husband nor I have ever owned a pool before. When we mentioned getting one to family and friends, everyone told us how much work it would be. I just want to say “Bravo!” I love this idea and what a brilliant way to support the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
This will be our third season with our above ground pool. We have enjoyed it, even with our typical New England weather. I have spoken highly about Seasonal to anyone who asks about our experience. I tell them that the quality is top of the line. I also tell them that the staff there is friendly, knowledgeable, and seem to really care abut my concerns as a new pool owner.
To answer your questions, yes, you have done your job. Very well. The products are great and the team unbeatable. They handled every crisis no matter how big or small, with speed, accuracy, patience and a smile. I was also made to feel that I was welcome back and that they were just a phone call away because it is a forty minute drive for me.
To sum this up, I am very satisfied with all that Seasonal has to offer. Yes, I do tell everyone who is considering a pool for their family that Seasonal is the only place to go, (I did the shopping around). You have friendly, knowledgeable staff and I think the best quality in product and service. Kudos to you.

Having been through two seasons with my Sharkline pool, I feel I made the right choice in Sharkline and Seasonal Specialty Stores.
