Anniversaries
We are celebrating our 30th Anniversary this year. Robelle Pool Chemicals opened our store as Factory Pools and Game Tables inNashua in 1980. Tod, Jeanne and I were all hired in 1981 – Tod inNashua and Jeanne and I at headquarters. If you care, you can read more on the History page at www.seasonalstores.com.
Tod left after several years to open his pool service company. In late 1989, he became a father and decided that he needed a second job. I rehired him during the transition from Robelle’s ownership to my and Jeanne’s ownership. So, this year is also Tod’s 20th anniversary with us and Jeanne and my 20th as owners.
We celebrated Tod’s anniversary in January with cake, speeches, a gold pen and a check. Tod told us a great story about being in theMerrimack store, December 1989, just before we started moving in, with his baby daughter Trina. He tied a rope to her walker, and twirled her around the giant, open space. It was more fun for her than bouncing around a small apartment.
So now, it’s 20 years later. Trina is an adult, helping you in the pool department or doing service and repairs in your backyard. Makes me wonder how many of the babies I told you about at the beginning, might grow up to be Seasonal Pool Guys. Mia has brought Honor in a few times and Honor seems to like it here!
We will be celebrating Trina’s five-year anniversary here in August. Victor’s five-year anniversary is this month, and Maria’s five-year is in September. You can join us – just check the Special Events schedule in the store or on our website for details.
