People

As usual, we have been travelling for training.  Patrick went to Atlanta to take the Certified Pool Operator’s class, and passed it with a 100% grade.  He later took three days of training inAtlanta in business management and pool technical subjects.  That trip was FREE because he was hired by Arch Chemicals to teach two classes on running and teaching pool schools, to a national audience of pool store owners and managers.  I received rave reviews on his teaching from the event planners.

Paul went to Chicago for Certified Hot Tub Technician training, which he also passed.  Mia spent two days at Mohegan Sun in chemical and technical training, along with some very detailed research on phosphate removal technology.

As usual, we also had trainers come to our classroom for lots of specific topics, as we continue to become an approved repair center for all sorts of pool and spa equipment.

We have some milestone anniversaries this year.  Joe has been with us for twenty years, Pat’s been here fifteen years, Jim and Anne-Marie have been here ten years, and Jen, Ann and Seth are celebrating (I hope) five years with us.  Please join us in congratulating them all.  We’ll have cake in the Coffee Shop for each on the Saturday closest to their anniversary.
