► A Seasonal Specialty Stores Report Card was received from Sherri and Larry D.  in Brookline, NH.  They stated that their general shopping experience with us was Excellent.  “Rarely have to wait for assistance, level of knowledge of team members.”  As to whether or not any of our team members did an unusually good job:  “We have received exceptional service from Patrick (in store, on the phone, and here at home); there is another associate who spent time on how to close pool – I think his name is Tod.”  Sales help, operations people, communication and products were Excellent. PoolSchool, In-store advice, free water testing and at home tutoring were all rated Excellent.  “Customer service and tutoring are the BEST!”

►    Advertising and specials continue from last week:  “Because our Mothers Said So”

►    I have posted a series of articles (11 pages) on internet and social media security in the lunch room.  Take one if you wish – I highly recommend them.  If you take the last one, tell me and I’ll (ok, Rose) will make more. 

►    We are on track to sign up two year’s worth of members of Seasonal Reward$ any day now.  This will definitely cost us a lot of money next year.  

►    A big “Thank You” to Pat and everyone in the warehouse for doing a wonderful job last Friday and Saturday.  We received multiple full trailers Friday, including a giant trailer of sold Telescope, and still cleared the aisles by Saturday afternoon.

►    Every time you call out a pick up to the warehouse, tell them to which door you sent the customer:  Customer pick up, or Door 3.  For pool steps, send them to Door 3 and let the warehouse guys redirect them to the yard.  If you send them to the yard first, and we don’t hear you, the customer is stuck where we can’t see him.  It’s really helpful if we know where to look! 

    From Victor:   Again, let me know when a supply is LOW not out.  I need time to order.

►    I am looking for someone to cook using our grills and a smoker, on busy weekends, May 23 or so to July 4.  Only on nice days.  Not every weekend – just some, probably.  Not an employee.  If you are available, you should be scheduled to work in the store.  Need to be personable, smart, know how to cook and safely handle food.  Know anyone?

►    Good job last week.  All chlorine deposits were correct.  Only one warranty item without a name. 

►    As of May 8, we have sold three grills and a propane fire pit.  Once people research on the web, they realize that Napoleon is a great name.  And, they appreciate buying a grill with a lifetime warranty, instead of a new grill every four years.  Great job!

►    Remember, the Introductory Special on Seasonal Reward$ ends Tuesday, May 15th.  We will start new signs and revised rules on May 16. 

►    Internet Humor:  Two ladies talking in heaven:   1st woman:  “Hi Wanda!”  2nd woman:  “Hi Sylvia!  How’d you die?  1st woman:  “I froze to death.”  2nd woman:  “How horrible!”

       1st woman:  “It wasn’t so bad.  After I quit shaking from the cold, I began to get warm & sleepy, and finally died a peaceful death.  What about you?”    2nd woman:  “I died of a massive heart attack.  I suspected that my husband was cheating, so I came home early to catch him in the act.  But instead, I found him all by himself in the den watching tv.”

       1st woman:  “So, what happened?”  2nd woman:  “I was so sure there was another woman there somewhere that I started running all over the house looking.  I ran up into the attic and searched, and down into the basement.  Then I went through every closet and checked under all the beds.  I kept this up until I had looked everywhere, and finally I became so exhausted that I just keeled over with a heart attack and died.”

       1st woman:  “Too bad you didn’t look in the freezer – we’d both still be alive.”
