►    We received a Seasonal Service and Repair Report Card concerning Paul’s service performed in mid-October, from Robert S. in New Boston, NH.  We were rated Excellent on all points.  “Bought our tub at Sundance.  Regretted doing so, wish we’d bought from you!  Will do so next time.  Have bought all chemicals and parts from you.  Paul is the best!”

►    Advertising, promotions, everything else continues from last week:  “Hot Midsummer Clearance”.  July’s color is Ivory.  Why do I tell you the color?  Because purple signs do not belong in the store or in the books.

►    Remember, we are closed 8PM Monday through Friday.

►    Happy Birthday to Mia on July 14.  We will celebrate with cake in the Coffee Shop on Saturday, July 13.

►    Remember to tell people about Pool School Lite on July 17.  It’s not in the newspapers.  Every time you wait on someone new to pool care, hand them an invitation.  Why spend 30 minutes with ten people three times (15 person-hours) when they can come to a Pool School and get slides and notes?

►    Take a look at this information from a Namco receipt.  Have you EVER seen anything like it in a store?  They must be serious – the receipt showed me the Customer Price ($699) and the Return Price ($605).  It  must be really hard to be a cashier arguing with people all the time.  “15% restocking fee will be assessed on opened merchandise.  Cash returns over $100 will be refunded by  mail check.  Merchandise requiring pickup will be assessed a $100 pickup fee.   Delivery fees are not refundable.  Due to safety concerns, chemicals cannot be returned.  All clearance, floor model and special order merchandise sales are final.”

►    Last week, 7 people researched us on Yelp.  Two went from there to our website, and one called us from their mobile phone.

►    Nice job last quarter.  In total, your average quarterly review was 111%.

►    Nice job on keeping up with the water lab night deposit.  I haven’t had to bring in a bottle all summer.

►    Congratulations to Seth and Roz, who were listed in the Marquis newsletter as having completed all four Learning Zone segments.  Thank you to you both.  So, how are you coming with yours?

►    The outdoor kitchen sign has been updated with this:  “In this combination, the island is worth around $5,000 and the appliances are worth around $9,000.  For budgeting purposes, use around $700 a foot to estimate an island.  Actual prices vary with options and materials.”  Also, the Special Order Grill Book now has prices (generally by the foot) to roughly quote an island.  Of course, the appliance prices were already in the book.  The final price is only determined when Outdoor Entertainment Designs sends us a C.A.D. drawing to proof.

►    We have updated the “Thank You” letter in the hot tub folder to reflect Celebrity hot tubs and other changes since 2010.  We have also added a new page four, reprinted on the back of this.

►    Internet Humor:  Three engineering students were gathered together discussing who must have designed the human body.  One said, “It was a mechanical engineer.  Just look at all the joints.”  Another said, “No, it was an electrical engineer.  The nervous system has many thousands of electrical connections.”  The last one said, “No, actually it had to have been a civil engineer.  Who else would run a toxic waste pipeline through a recreational area?”
