►    We received an email from Michael C concerning his new pool table. “I wanted to thank Seth for the assistance placing the order on my new Olhausen Blackhawk pool table. His knowledge of the product and accessories made my purchase a pleasure. I wanted to let you know that your contractor, Matt and Brian from Mr. Cue’s Billiards, did an exceptional job installing the pool table. I marked up 3 areas on the floor where I considered placing the pool table, Matt discussed with me proper measurements between the pool table and the walls allowing me to decide the final placement. Matt and Brian discussed each step of the installation and their professionalism filled me with confidence in both the pool table and its installation, and I look forward to many years enjoying the table. I’ve attached 2 pictures of the 9’ Blackhawk table, feel free to use these.”

►    New web advertising and weekly specials begin Sunday, July 14:  “Midsummer Clearance”  All items and department promotions continue.

►    Happy birthday to Mia on Sunday, July 14.  Cake in the Coffee Shop Saturday, July 13.

►    Pool School Lite on Wednesday, July 17. Please advise all people who seem to need education to come to it. It is their last chance for a beginner’s class until May of 2014.

►    We have stopped the FREE Italian slate upgrade on 9’ Olhausen pool tables.

►    I could use some ideas. How would you suppose that we could lose 18 bags of pool salt in four months? If we rang up broken bags properly (Item #3353), they would still be taken out of RetailPro. Any ideas?

►    We do not need to park in the back on weekends any more. That is just from mid-May until July 4.

►    Taping signs around the stores

1. For the weekend promotions (free food, birthday, heat wave, customer appreciation, etc.) The folder with the signs tells you where they go. So, you can find EVERY ONE of them at the end of the day. So we don’t have people mad at us when they don’t get their rubber ducky!

2. We do not tape the signs on the outside of the doors where they can blow off. We tape them (facing out) on the inside and use two pieces of tape so they don’t fall off.

►    Employee purchases must be completed before we cash out.  Don’t make us stay late while we help you.  If you are going to take a while, punch out, make your purchase, then punch in again.

►    We just made an improvement in “The Complete Pool Package”, the Filter Price page, and two filter price tags.  We added directions on how to convert a DE60 or DE90 to cartridge.  Filter remains same price.  You return the DE element by item number, purchase the cartridge by item number, and get a new tank label from Patrick.  That makes the sign and price tags a good “cheat sheet” to look up the cartridge and element item numbers.  Thanks to Stephanie for the idea.

►    From Victor: There seems to be misconception/misinterpretation on break policy.  Please review.  If you have any questions ask myself or Patrick.

►    From Corey:  The Pleatco cartridge bin has been reorganized to make things a little easier to find what you need.  There is also a map now made for the bin so you won’t need to dig through boxes to find an uncommon cartridge.  Try to keep the bin nice and neat.  There is no need for it to be a mess anymore.

►    Internet Humor: A man, wanting to rob a downtown Bank of America, walked into the Branch and wrote this, “Put all your muny in this bag”. While standing in line, waiting to give his note to the teller, he began to worry that someone had seen him write the note and might call the police before he reached the teller’s window. So he left the Bank of America and crossed the street to the Wells Fargo Bank. After waiting a few minutes in line, he handed his note to the Wells Fargo teller. She read it and, surmising from his spelling errors that he wasn’t the brightest light in the harbor, told him that she could not accept his stickup note because it was written on a Bank of America deposit slip and that he would either have to fill out a Wells Fargo deposit slip or go back to Bank of America.  Looking somewhat defeated, the man said, “OK” and left. He was arrested a few minutes later, as he was waiting in line back at Bank of America.
