► From Anne-Marie: Please mark your calendar. The date for our annual Seasonal Wrap Party is Saturday, January 6th, at the Country Tavern Restaurant with games, hot tubs, raffles, and fun at the store after dinner.
► Ken S. from Nashua, NH recently had Paul do a repair for him on a hot tub that he bought from us. He gave us all 10s, from how his initial call was handled to receiving an appointment in a reasonable time, getting a reasonable price quoted to him, and then having initial work done. He said “Paul and his assistant did and always provides excellent high quality work”.
► All new Advertising, Specials, and Promotions start next week: Entertain at Home.
► We are going to create an Annual Special Events list; extending the Summer Events list to the winter months. During the winter we will celebrate birthdays once a month only, with a smaller cake.
► We start our entirely new Billiard and Game Table Program on Sunday October 29. Most game tables had price changes; both up and down. All Legacy Pool Tables changed. The Game Table Program is much larger than last year, though some of the new tables are not due in until Thanksgiving. The Pool Table Program has been adjusted with more tables on clearance, and fewer tables overall.
► The 2018 Pool School Schedule is posted online, and in the store. It can go in the folder and next to the registers and water labs now.
► I’m sorry for the last-minute notice. I can get someone two free tickets to the Actorsingers show The Drowsy Chaperone, on November 3rd, 4th, or 5th. That means that I have to choose a winner on October 31. So let me know if you want them right away!
► Events during the next couple of weeks:
October 25-31: Halloween’s coming. Trick-or-Treat for some Halloween candy here, while supplies last.
November 18: Happy November Birthday Ryan. Celebrate with birthday cake in the coffee shop, while it lasts.
November 22-26: Black Friday, Plaid Friday, and Small Business Saturday. Doorbusters!
November 23: Closed Thanksgiving, so we can all be with our families.
► Laughter The Best Medicine: I admit it: I’d had too much to drink one night. How much? I-lost-my-glass-eye too much. I called all the places I’d haunted, including a Denny’s. “Hello,” I said to the woman who answered. “I ate dinner there last night, and I’ve lost my glass eye. By any chance, did anyone find it?”
After a pause, she asked, “What color was it?”
