► Customer Feedback: Customer Susan L. stated that her general shopping experience with us was Excellent. “Ordered over the phone – salesperson was very helpful and got my order just right.” Did any of our team members do an unusually good job? “Everyone is great!” Did any of our team members do an unusually bad job? “No.” Sales help, operations, communication, and product performance were all rated Excellent. She would recommend us to a friend. What can we do to improve? “Keep doing what you’re doing.” What do we do really well? “Great personalized service.”

► I found the Complete Game Room signs, that show you how to give discounts up to 30% when selling a giant game room. I don’t know how long they have been missing from the store, because I don’t sell very often. But they are back. If you are not familiar with them, you should read one before your customer does.
► No problems with the registers last week. Great job!
► Boynton Pools has closed. It does not appear that they will be purchased by anyone. I expect to see a big increase in Bioguard business if we can accomplish getting enough of their customers to know that we carry Bioguard.
► Namco says that they will keep the Nashua store open this winter.
► Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass. It’s about dancing in the rain.
► News of the Weird from The Hippo: Perspective: First-World Problems: The designer Giorgio Armani is one of the most recent one-day sponsors of a United Nations project to send safe drinking water to help some of the planet’s 768 million people without access to a clean supply. The Tap Project program signs up smartphone users with a reward: that it will donate one day’s clean water to a child for anyone who can manage to refrain from picking up his or her phone for 10 consecutive minutes. Tap Project screens even feature a 10-minute countdown clock to help do-gooders remain strong in the face of anxiety over the brief loss of access to Facebook, online games, et al.
► Swimming Pool Humor: Bill Gates decided to hold a contest for lawyers. Whoever wins gets to handle all of Microsoft’s business. The day of the event, the Gates’ estate is swamped with lawyers, all eager for the nod from the richest man in the world. “Gentlemen,” Gates starts, “please follow me.” He leads them to an enormous swimming pool filled with piranha. Then he snaps his fingers. With that, a servant opens the door. A cow rushes out and stumbles into the pool. In no time at all, the cow is nothing but bones. Gates says, “Any man who can swim the length of that pool shall represent me in all my business and personal dealings.” Instantly, a lawyer name Carl pitches into the water. Furiously he swims across the pool, hauls himself out and stands there panting. “Bravo!” shouts Gates. “You have proven to me how much you want my business.” “Actually, I want just one thing.” Carl gasps. “What’s that?” “The name of the bastard that pushed me in.”
