► Happy Birthday to Joe, next Saturday.
► Customer Feedback: The following email was received from customer Ken S.: “We were at your store earlier today looking for umbrellas for our coffee shop. The place was mobbed because as we learned it was the last day of a sale. Anyway, a salesman named Cliff answered all of our questions and was very nice to deal with while waiting on several other customers at the same time. We were very impressed and just wanted to let you know. We’ll be back when we decide what kind of patio we’re building.”
► New advertising starts Sunday, December 13: “Family Gifts”. Everything else remains the same.
► This weekend we will have cake in the Coffee Shop for our December birthday honorees: Kristine and Joe.
► From Patrick: When tagging dart supplies, especially anything hanging on the wall, please tag all items on the back of the packaging. If you have any questions please see me.
► Richard Stahl has been a customer for 20 years, as I remember. He is always very courteous and appreciative, and complimentary of all of us. His contribution to the Boys & Girls Club was $250,000. That was the base of their addition several years ago.
► News of The Weird from the Hippo: Once again a fortuitous, unrelated medical exam was credited with possibly saving a life. Los Angeles television personality Julie Change suffered a concussion in a surfing accident recently, but the routine X-ray also showed a previously unrevealed brain tumor. She was immediately scheduled for surgery and reported to colleagues that she “will be OK.”
► Laughter, The Best Medicine from the Reader’s Digest: A man knocked on my door and asked for a donation toward the local swimming pool. So I gave him a glass of water.
