         April 30:  April Pre-Seasonal Pool Supply Sale ends at 5:00 PM.  Hurry, don’t miss out.

         May 1:  Extended store hours start:  Mon – Fri 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM, Sat 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM, Sun 11:00 AM – 5:00 PM

         May 1: Mark’s Birthday:  FREE birthday cake in the coffee shop while it lasts.

         May 4:  Pool School 101 ~ Introduction to Pool Maintenance, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

►    Customer Feedback:  Customer Kurt G., from Mason, NH stated that his general shopping experience with us was Good.  “Helpful, informative.”  Did any of our team members do an unusually good job?  “No.”  Did any of our team members do an unusually bad job?  “No.”  Sales help, operations, communication, and product performance were all rated Excellent.  “On top of everything.  Everything was smooth.  Had an issue with delivery cost.  You called and fixed it.”  He would recommend us to a friend.  What do we do really well?  “Made everything easy and smooth, answered all questions, no high pressure sales.”

►    Advertising, specials, everything continues from last week: “April Pre-Seasonal Sale”

►    I am currently experiencing the one-year anniversary of some very difficult events.  A year ago, I was living in the Community Hospice House.  Jeanne had stopped seeing visitors, and asked me not to leave the building until she died.  I have been exhibiting symptoms of depression.  I expect that I will continue or worsen for awhile.  I will not be in on May fourth.

So, I apologize if I have been short with you recently, or am short or unreasonable this month.  I will get better, soon.

►    We have a second Reward$ email going out on April 21st.  It is short, and just a reminder about the end of the sale.  The coupon is a Seasonal reusable shopping bag, because the $10 coupon is still valid from last week’s email.

►    If you see something, say something.  That isn’t just to protect us from terrorists.  I can’t fix something if I don’t know it’s broken.  Don’t think someone else will fix a problem.  For instance:  Anne-Marie just wasted 1½ hours fixing a problem that appeared after the computer work last week, that was obviously caused by the computer work.  Only to find out that it wasn’t working for two weeks before that.  Which means there was a different cause; let alone it was broken for two weeks with no attempt at a repair.  This is not a note on wasted time, it is a note on telling me or a manager when something goes wrong, or needs to be fixed.  ASAP.

►    Wage Summaries for people who were not recently hired will be out Saturday.  You need to sign and return yours by Friday, April 29th.

►    From Connie:  There will be a representative from Aflac here on Saturday, April 16th at 8:45 a.m. if you would like information or to change your policy.  The meeting should last roughly ½ hour, and will take place in the classroom.  It is not mandatory.

►    Anne-Marie:  Just a reminder that when people unsubscribe from our email blasts, I put a note on their customer record in RetailPro and change their enrollment from Seasonal Reward$ to Seasonal Sense.  I also send them a letter by snail mail notifying them of this.  If someone wishes to re-enroll in Seasonal Reward$, the only way is for them to send me an email.  I need something in writing to meet the requirements of Mailchimp. Do not simply change their record in RetailPro by adding their email again.  Thank you.

►    I saw someone telling a customer which email we sent his Reward$ to by looking at Retail Pro.  But that is completely wrong.  Reward$ emails do not connect to Mail Chimp.  So that pool customer can easily waste a lot of time and become angry at us, because he’s looking in the wrong place.

►    From Stephanie: The training schedule is now posted in the breakroom.  Please review it and ask me any questions you might have.
