►    Customer Feedback:  An anonymous customer stated that their general shopping experience with us was Excellent.  “Helped right away – answered all our questions.”  Did any of our team members do an unusually good job?  “Allison.  She made sure we could get our set delivered for a weekend cookout.”  Sales help, communication, and product performance were rated Excellent.  Would she recommend us to a friend?  “Yes.”

►    Advertising, specials, and promotions all change Sunday, May 1: “Because Our Mothers Said So”.  This month’s color is gray.

►    Is the April Sale still going on?  No, it only runs in April.  But we are having a May sale right now.

Is Baquacil on sale?  Yes, sanitizer is $129.98 a case.  Oxidizer is $54.98 a case.  Algaecide is $15.98 a bottle.

Are pool supplies on sale?  Yes, quite a few.  Look for the yellow sale tags.

In other words, you can almost always answer yes, because a lot of things are on sale.

►    Remember, this is the most important time of year for Pool Schools.  Ask everyone if they have ever been to one.  Especially if you know that they could use some education.  Hand them the schedule.  It is important for us, and for the customer.

►   From Anne-Marie: Since this is the last weekend for the April Sale, and it is expected to be extremely busy, we are bringing free lunch in from Chicken & Chips for all employees on Saturday, April 30th.  Enjoy!   This lunch is paid for by Fred and Eric Gilbert; representing Tropitone Patio Furniture.

►    Earlier this year, the Patio department switched from cheap brown filter sand to a play sand from Lowes for weighting cantilevered umbrellas.  I just found out, and I am switching the sand that we use to weight pool steps to the same sand. This will save the customer  at least $2.00 a bag, and save us $3.00 a bag.  Plus, the Quik Crete bags are thicker and the sand is more dense.  The cheap brown sand will be just for NAMCO customers looking for lousy, cheap sand.

►    Everclear Pool and Leisure in Billerica is no longer a Baquacil dealer.  They are out of oxidizer and the sanitizer is on clearance until they run out of that, too.

►    We expect the next truckload of hot tubs AROUND May 6.

►   That’s Outrageous! from the Reader’s Digest:   “He obviously wanted to make sure he didn’t fail to appear.”  This was a California district attorney attempting to make heads or tails out of why an accused car thief would arrive at the courthouse for his hearing in a stolen car.
