► All new advertising, promotions, and sales being Monday, January 2: “Family Fun Savings”
► All non-Sharkline pools will be new for 2017. Since I don’t have very good information on them, or samples, or literature… we will probably start with a warning label on the 2016 price list. And when we get you a 2017 price list, it will probably be the first of several revisions.
► Steel and aluminum went up in price a lot this fall, as a result of trade sanctions placed by the Obama administration on Chinese steel and aluminum. That has raised pool prices at least 5%. Our president-elect has already complained that Janet Yellen has kept interest rates too low, and he has threatened more trade sanctions. These should portend even more price hikes. So your customers should place orders soon, to beat future price increases. Inflation, which has not been a problem in about ten years, should make it easy for people to buy now rather that put it off.
► Remember, we are closing at 3:00PM on New Year’s Eve, and we are now closed Wednesdays until March.

- Marquis parts should now be easier to look up: 2012 and prior is in the binder with all of our other parts books. 2013 to present is in a separate binder, just underneath the parts counter. they are organized labeled, and much easier to navigate (thank you Sarah). Please take a look at it so you are familiar with it before having to use it.
► All In A Day’s Work by Reader’s Digest:
The MeetingSpeak-to-English translator:
- “This wasn’t on my calendar” = I deleted this from my calendar.
- “Duly noted” = I’ve already forgotten about it.
- “Let’s table that” = That’s the dumbest thing I’ve ever heard.
- “That said…” = We’re still not changing anything.
- “Let’s get some data on that” = I’m pretty sure you’re wrong.
