► The new Game Table sale includes some very good prices; especially on a few tables that Mia wants to get off the floor. A few pool tables are going on a special Floor Model sale; also so that Mia can make room for the next floor re-arrange. Want to make more money? Spend a couple of minutes learning where the values are. And note that an item on Floor Model sale means that price is for the floor model; even if we have new ones in stock. If the customer wants a new one; that is fine, but they have to pay the new price!
► Customer Feedback: Customer B. D. from Merrimack, NH rated their general shopping experience with us as Good. “I believe the lady that sold us our grill was Stephanie? She was wonderful and knowledgeable, and helped us choose well. The guy out back that was tossing and flipping our grill around looking for a number is what keeps the rating good, not excellent.” Did any of our team members do an usually good job? “Yes! Stephanie was great! No pressure, able to answer all of our questions, a real pleasurable experience.” Did any of our team members do an unusually bad job? “I do not know his name. It was a man in the warehouse that was flipping our new $1000+ grill around before loading.” Sales help, operations, communication, and product performance were all rated Excellent. “Five stars for Stephanie.” They would recommend us to a friend. What can we do to improve? “I know warehouse workers are not known for their people skills, but I had to call Stephanie and let her know in case it was damaged upon opening.” What do we do really well? “Stephanie’s people skills, and product knowledge are what sold us on such a high-end grill. We will definitely come back again.”
► February advertising, sales, and specials all change or start on Saturday, January 29: “Relax At Home”
► The Hot Tub sale is very different this month; similar to what we did in 2000, and have always done in above ground pools: prices remain the same, but FREE items come with the hot tub. This is a VERY GOOD VALUE for the customer. It affects PAR, so PLEASE read the sale sheet and discuss it with Mia before you talk to a customer.
► We have two used/demo hot tubs in stock. Take a look. It could be a quick sale if you know what you are doing.
► Big week next week: Happy Birthday to Thomas on Sunday, Paul on Monday, and Connie on Thursday.
► After Christmas sales are ending: those signs should come down by Sunday, January 29.
► From Anne-Marie: The Seasonal Reward$ gift certificates have been emailed. Just like last year, copies are filed behind the registers. Reward$ are by certificate number in the black file cabinets. Seasonal Sense are alphabetical with no certificate numbers in the white cabinet. I had quite a few members either unsubscribe from our emails or hard-bounce. These people were moved to the Seasonal Sense Program. They received letters with Seasonal Sense gift certificates. If they want to re-enroll in the Reward$ program they must follow the link I sent in the letter. Merely adding their email address in RetailPro will not work. If you have any questions, please see me.

Stop the presses!
- The story said, “More than 30,000 pigs were floating down the Dawson River.” What piggery owner Sid Everingham actually said was, “30 sows and pigs,” not “30,000 pigs.”
- The group Frightened Rabbi should have been the Scottish band Frightened Rabbit.
- The following corrects errors in the broker listing: Aberdeen is in Scotland, not Saudi Arabia; Antwerp is in Belgium, not Barbados; Belfast is in Northern Ireland, not Nigeria; Cardiff is in Wales, not Vietnam; Helsinki is in Finland, not Fiji; Moscow is in Russia, not Qatar.
