► Have a great time at the dinner and Wrap Party tonight. Don’t drink and drive. Based on the weather report right now, we will have dinner at Country Tavern, but might not come back to the store after that. We will reconsider Saturday afternoon.
► The 200 GM green spa FROG cartridges are due next week. If someone wants some they can take a yellow 150 GM one and give them 75¢ off the price. That will make it the same cost per gram as the green one.
► Customer Feedback: A customer with the last name of Jackson, from Brookline, NH stated that their general shopping experience with us was Excellent. Did any of our team members do an unusually good job? “We purchase a heat pump on 5/11. We spent a long time discussing it with one of your salesmen. He generously gave the sale credit to Mia. He was very helpful. Mia was also fine, but we did not spend as long with her. Not sure of salesman’s name.” Sales help, operations, communication, and product performance were all rated Excellent. What can we do to improve? “At your busy times, you may want to consider having some type of new system to speak with a sales rep. Not the counter.” What do we do really well? “The way you communicate and educate is great. We are very glad to have purchased from your company.”
► Everything changes Sunday, January 4, advertising, weekly specials, department promotions, etc: “Family Fun Sale” – Month’s color is Gray.
► Store hours change: we are closed on Wednesdays until March.
► From the Hippo:
Sentimental journey: Kevin Walters, 21, staged an emotional, though unsuccessful, one-man, chained-to-the-door prote in March to prevent the closing of a commercial rest stop along the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway near Des Plaines, Ill. Ultimately, the Des Plaines Oasis, housing shops, and fast-food restaurants, will be demolished as part of highway-widening project. Walters told WBBM Radio that his poignant attachment to the oasis was because his parents had told him it was where he was conceived as they returned home from a 1992 Phil Collins concert.
► More Internet Humor:
Bob was having trouble getting to sleep at night. He went to see his doctor, who prescribed some extra strong sleeping pills. Sunday night Bob took his pills, slept well and was awake before he heard the alarm. He took his time getting to the office, strolled in and said to his boss, I didn’t have a bit of trouble getting up this morning. That’s fine, roared the boss, but where were you Monday and Tuesday?
