► Customer Feedback: An anonymous customer rated their general shopping experience as Excellent. Sales help, operations people, communication, and product performance were all rated Excellent. “Knowledgeable and not pushy.” They would recommend us to a friend. “Great service – knowledgeable staff – not pushy.”
► All new specials, sales, and promotions start Sunday, June 4: “Pool & Patio Sale”. This month’s color is Purple.
► So you have a big job Saturday after closing or Sunday before opening. Lots of gray signs to come down; including filter price tags. About 30 pool supply items for price changes. The May Sale is over.
► Remember, the most Important Pool School is 101: Maintenance. The last chance to take it is Wednesday, June 7. Make sure customers know about it.
► We have re-vamped the billiard cushion program; as many cushions are no longer available in 8 foot. The customer has to buy 9 foot and cut them to size. The sign explains this.
► ILP no longer includes free magnets with vacuum poles. So when you stock vac poles, add them to the pole (we have 800 magnets in the warehouse). Later this summer, we will run out of magnets. When that happens, tell me and a manager. We will need to consciously manage the signs and the inventory so we can continue to tell the truth.
► There is a local manufacturer who is using us for pH testing. You need to use the computer and spin disc because they don’t want a strip test. So, test pH only, and charge them $9.99 a test. The item number is on the sign in front of each water lab: (#4737).
► Events during the next couple of weeks:
June 3-4: FREE Food. Add cookies & pastries to your FREE coffee and tea in the Coffee Shop while supplies last.
June 7: Pool School 101 ~ Introduction to Pool Maintenance, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
June 10-11: Customer Appreciation Days: Free Gifts with any purchase, while they last.
June 14: Pool School 102 ~ Introduction to Pool Chemistry, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM
► Life in These United States by Reader’s Digest:
When my son was visiting, I complained that my TV wasn’t as bright and as sharp as usual. He worked on it during the afternoon, and that night, we turned the set on. “What did you do?” I said happily. “Everything looks great.” He replied, “I wiped the screen.”
