►    Customer Feedback:  A customer from Bedford, NH rated their general shopping experience as Excellent.  “Excellent because of great customer service – knowledgeable, friendly, patient, and thorough.”  Did any of our team members do an unusually good job?  “Mia was amazing.  And I had previously been in the store and was helped by another blonde woman (not in your picture), and she was great, too!”  Sales help, communication, and product performance were all rated Excellent.  “Was willing (and able) to spend time educating us.”  They would recommend us to a friend.

►    Advertising, specials, and promotions continue from earlier this week: “Because Our Mothers Said So”.  This month’s color is Gray.

►    There were 28 One-of-These Awards for April; 5 for Customer Service.  Finalists were Jim, Allison, Kristine, Ryan, and Lucy.  But Jim actually had four make the first round of cuts!  Owner’s Choice was Jim, and the drawing winner was Joe.

►    Happy Birthday to Amber on Saturday, May 6.  Happy Birthday to Morgan on Monday, May 8.

►    On Saturday, May 13, please welcome Bob McColgan from Jonas.  Bob is buying us lunch that day and bringing us samples of Therma Swim for customer giveaways.  Make sure you thank him for the lunch.

►    Introduction to Pool Chemistry is Wednesday, May 10.  Make sure you tell everyone about it who is new to pool care or has questions on chemistry.  If you are new to working in the store, make sure you get the employee version of the class notes.

►    Events during the next couple of weeks:

          May 6: Amber’s Birthday:  FREE birthday cake in the coffee shop while supplies last.

         May 10:  Pool School 102 ~ Introduction to Pool Chemistry, 7:00 PM – 8:30 PM

         May 13: Morgan’s Birthday:  FREE birthday cake in the coffee shop while supplies last.

         May 13:  Meet our Jonas Rep., Bob McColgan.  He will also be giving out free Therma Swim to customers that purchase a Target product.

         May 14: Mother’s Day ~ FREE Gifts for mothers, future mothers, and mothers-at-heart, 11:00 PM – 5:00 PM

         May 18: Barbecue and Grill demonstration: 6:30PM – 8:30PM.

         May 20:  Meet our Bioguard Chemical Rep., Kevin Gray.  Special coupons on select Bioguard chemicals will be available to customers.

         May 20-21:  FREE Food.  Add cookies & pastries to your FREE coffee and tea in the Coffee Shop, while supplies last.

►     Remember, if you sell a Vista pool it is a Delair brand and can only use a Delair beaded liner.  Because eight years from now, you will never remember that six out of 6,000 customers have a special bead.  By writing it on their receipt, we have half a chance of them remembering.

►    From Patrick:

  1. Cell phone use while on the floor is not allowed. Whether you have customers in front of you or not, it does not matter.   When you are here you are here to work and at no time should there be a need for you to have it on the floor. You can use your phone while on your breaks as long as it is not in view of customers. If there is a reason you need to check it periodically, it can remain in your mailbox, and you may do so as long as you are not leaving customers or a department unattended. If you have questions please let me know.
  2. We now have a new contact and service company for our heater and heat pump service they are a licensed hvac and gas company. All Pentair warranty requests should be given to the manager on duty. For other heater requests they can contact Jim at DM Flanders, out of Londonderry. Their number is (603) 318-8359, and it will posted at the front counter and at parts.

►    From Anne-Marie: Cashiers, if a customer comes in and tells you they did not receive credit for a Seasonal Rewards or Sense Coupon they brought in previously, please look at their customer record. If you see a store credit for them, please look in the green box under the counter between registers 1 and 2 for a store credit slip. I have likely issued a store credit for their missing coupon.

When filing “used” Seasonal Reward$/Sense coupons – if all of the money due to the customer is used up, and you don’t see my initials in the upper right corner, don’t file them. I need to see them first. Thank you
