► We will be opening late on Wednesday, May 13 to allow those who wish, to attend Jeanne’s funeral. Make sure you have notified customers, truckers, Mr. Cues, and anyone who might be inconvenienced.
► Jeanne’s wake will be at Davis Funeral Home in Nashua, on Tuesday, May 12th from 4PM to 8PM. Her funeral service will be at the funeral home on Wednesday at 10AM. There will be no burial.
► Customer Feedback: Customer Patricia C. of Auburn, NH stated that her general shopping experience with us was Excellent. Did any of our team members do an unusually good job? “Patrick was knowledgeable and very patient with us.” Operations, communication, and product performance were rated Excellent. What do we do really well? “We liked being able to see the many spas you offer at your store.”
► Advertising, promotions, and specials continue from last week: “Because Our Mothers Said So”
► Happy Birthday to Jonathan on Tuesday, May 12th.
► We will celebrate Luke’s Anniversary with cake in the Coffee Shop on Saturday, May 9th.
► There were 55 One-of-These Awards in April. Joe was the volume leader, at 10. Manager’s Choice was Joe, the drawing winner was Thomas.
► On Mother’s Day, May 10, we will be giving a FREE gift to “mothers, future mothers, and mothers-at-heart”. That means we offer them to all females (which I suppose, means those that identify as female). So if Bruce Jenner comes in, she gets a gift, too. So you NEVER ask if someone is a mother. You just ask “would you like a free rose?”.
► Remember, Pool Schools are our most important method of improving our image, increasing loyalty, and saving ourselves precious time on busy days. A consumer that knows how to take care of their pool will enjoy it much more. So they will like the pool, like you, keep the pool longer, and tell their friends to buy a pool. That’s a good thing! So actively push the Pool Schools. You are in the best position to know who could benefit from a class while discussing anything about their pool. Hand them an invitation – they are stocked all over the Pool department. Tell them where to sign up, or do it for them. They will thank you later.
► So Wednesday, May 13 is Introduction to Chemistry, taught by Mia. The following Wednesday is Easy Pool Opening by Patrick, and June 3 is Introduction to Pool Maintenance by Stephanie.
► Very good job on the registers last week, considering how many new team members we have. We lost $32 on liquid chlorine deposits, had one $40 refund without a name, and, unfortunately, a liner and a winter cover without a name.
► The Atmosphere STR48 is actually custom-made, and only with an Impressions wall. Since it is custom-made, it can take a lot longer, depending on other factory work.
► More Internet Humor: Hanging in the hallway at Whites High School is the basketball team pictures from the past 40 years. A player in the center of the front row in each picture holds a basketball identifying the 62-63; 63-64, 64-65, etc. One day I spotted a freshman looking curiously at the photos. Turning to me, he said, Isn’t it strange how the teams always lost by one point?
