► This Wednesday is the final Above Ground Closing class. The following Wednesday is the last Inground class. Tell everyone, because it’s their last chance.
► Don’t just look at your price list when selling pool covers: look at the boxes! There are a dozen super clearance covers that are unusual brands, or even mesh, that don’t fit in the spreadsheet signs. Help your customer get a great deal!
► Those of you emptying trash: watch out for water sample bottles being thrown away. Pull them out and tell Mia. We think people don’t throw them away any more, but she and I are not emptying the trash. Watch the recycle bin. I think people think “Reusable” means “Recyclable”. Those bottles cost us sixty cents each.
► If you are using chemicals in the Pool Park, save the bottle:
- We are using full bottles in the Above Ground Sales department, and they should all be empty bottles.
- We could be re-using some of the bottles in order to sell chemicals in bad bottles. If you are not sure what to do, ask me, Stephanie, or Mia.
► I asked Ann A. to write the story that we have listed here:
A few weeks ago I stopped for gas after work in Merrimack and encountered a gentleman at the gas pumps who was very interested in my Ford truck. After a 5 minute conversation I came to the conclusion that this guy was seriously looking to buy a new Ford truck. The customer relayed his story to me of visiting a local Ford dealership and how he ended up NOT buying a truck from that dealership because the new truck he was looking at was covered in mud. After mentioning his displeasure about the mud to the sales associate, who seemed to not care about it, he then proceeded to return to the same dealership 2 days later to look at the same truck and guess what? The same brand new truck was still covered in mud! So, now 4 days later he was on his way to another dealership to look at another new truck and he said if he liked it, and it wasn’t covered in mud, he was going to buy it. I said how sorry I was that the other dealership didn’t “LISTEN” to what he had to say and how sad it was that they probably lost a $40,000-45,000 truck sale over mud. As the gentleman was getting in his truck to leave he leaned over the side of his door, threw his hands in the air and shouted “We love Seasonal”!!!! He said he owned a pool & spa and had been a customer of ours for many years and praised us on what great customer service we give. In addition, his wife, who was sitting in the front seat of the truck, gave me thumbs up!
(He knew I worked at Seasonal because I had a blue shirt on!). The moral of this story is: If you listen to what your customers have to say, give great customer service & always treat them right they will be dedicated to you and “praise you at the gas station”! 😀
► We do offer military and senior citizen discounts, but only through Seasonal Reward$ or Seasonal Sense Programs. When Anne-Marie receives the appropriate forms, she will make the necessary changes in the back to reflect this. The customer will not see double points on their receipt that day, but we will adjust for that. The system will double their points going forward. These double-points will not be retroactive. All you need to do is fill out the “Military/Senior Citizen” application form, check the appropriate identification, initial it, have them sign it, and put it in the bin with the receipts. Obviously, if the customer is not currently a member of Reward$, they will also have to sign up.
► More New Jokes: After being away on business, Tim thought it would be nice to bring his wife a little gift. “How about some perfume?” he asked a cosmetics clerk. She showed him a $50 bottle. “That’s a bit much,” said Tim, so she returned with a small bottle for $30. “That’s still quite a bit,” Tim complained. Growing annoyed, the clerk brought out a tiny $15 bottle. “What I mean, “ said Tim, “is I’d like to see something really cheap.” The clerk handed him a mirror.
