►    Customer Feedback:   Customer Lisa L., from Portsmouth, NH stated that her general shopping experience with us was Excellent.  “The salesperson was awesome.  He spent the exact amount of time I wanted with me – wasn’t pushy, let me explore, but available for questions.”  Did any of our team members do an unusually good job?  “Yes.  (Our salesman), so very patient and knowledgeable.”  Sales help was rated Excellent, and communication was rated Good.  She would recommend us to a friend.  What do we do really well?  “Hiring!”

►    New advertising and weekly specials start Sunday, 9/21:  “Billiard Clearance”. Everything else remains the same.

►    We also have a “Thank You” ad running in the Cabinet papers 9/25 and 9/26 because we won “Best of Souhegan Valley”.  I assume in Pool Service.  It’s a secret until the paper comes out.

►    Happy Birthday to John, next Saturday.

►    Important.  Swimline winter covers are often wrapped inside a piece of pool cover material, to protect the actual cover inside the box.  And usually, it is a piece of left over scrap or defective material.  So the customer sees that, gets upset, brings it back, and takes another one that’s also “defective”.  Then we put the original cover on sale as an opened package.  So what do you do?  As soon as they tell you on the phone, tell them you will exchange it, but ask them if they want to save a trip back.  Tell them about the wrapper.  If it’s too late and they already returned it, check it with them right there, so we don’t ruin a second box.

►    We are changing the color of the approval labels we put on a pool cover when it’s sold.  The label formerly known as green, will now be violet.  Why?  Many of the Robelle covers already have a green stripe so that we know it’s green; and the stripe looks just like a label.  And red, orange, yellow, green, blue, and tan are already taken!

►    We just brought back $268 in recyclables, and added it to the Tip Jar.  Time to think about what we should do with it: perhaps a raffle at the Wrap Party?  Perhaps pay for a second half of the Wrap Party, here at the store (probably $800)? Perhaps a couple of weekend lunches in winter (or one in summer)?  Leave me a note.

►   Mill Stores is closing down the street.  Other than wood bar stools, I would imagine we would not see much increased demand – and we may see some lower prices for a short time, if they liquidate.

►    If you run out of a pool supply in the store, and switch to another one, please:

  1.  Check the computer vs. actual inventory.
  2.  Tell me what you did.

I need to know, I need to decide if I want to switch back, and I may need to adjust the price of what you switched to.
